Are you looking to take a trip to Vietnam but have no idea which locations you want to visit? If this is your current predicament, then there is no need to worry because this is why touring packages exist. One that may appeal to some of you is a luxurious tour of Central and Southern Vietnam. For almost two full weeks, you will be able to visit some of the finest destinations in all of Vietnam. Whether this is the stunning beaches or the beautiful cities, you will see why the country is such a great touring location.

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City

The first day on this fantastic tour starts you at Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon); which happens to be the largest city in Vietnam. Once here, you will be able to unpack all your belongings at one of the city’s various five-star hotels. After this, the day is yours. You may tour the various museums and buildings in the city, or you can sit back and relax and enjoy the comfort of your hotel.

Day 2: Full Tour of the City

If you are concerned that you will not be able to explore Ho Chi Minh City because you decided to rest the first day, you will take comfort in knowing that the second day is a full tour of the massive city. Bring your walking shoes as the tour will be on foot. However, it is worth it every single step of the way. An escort will show you the beauty of the city, which includes a trip to the city’s famous Chinatown (Cholon) and market (Ben Thanh).

Day 3: Mekong Delta

After the tour of Ho Chi Minh City is over, it is time to drive outside of the city and visit the Mekong Delta. In Mekong Delta, you will end up in the capital (Can Tho) which is located on the south bank of the Hau River. From there, the destination will be Ben Tre. During this timeframe, you will experience the quietness and the tremendous atmosphere of the night scene in Can Tho.

Day 4: Can Tho

While still in Can Tho, as you will stay in a hotel overnight, on the fourth day of this tour you will be taken to the Cai Rang Floating Market. Being the largest of all the floating markets (which is a market where goods are sold from a boat), there are hundreds of boats to visit. Once this day has been wrapped up, you will be transported back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 5: Hoi An

Unfortunately, this day starts with a flight. However, when you do arrive in Hoi An it will be worth it. Although this is not a huge city, it is a perfect example of an old trading port. Strong Japanese and Chinese influences are present in this town, and it is famous for its lantern making and tailor shops.

Day 6: Hoi An Continues

You won’t be going far on the sixth day of this tour as it remains in Hoi An. Included on this all-day tour of the city is a cruise along the Tho Bon River, a bicycle tour and a food tour of the city’s best dishes. During this time, make sure to take in the experience.

Day 7: Hue

Now that everything has been seen in Hoi An, it is time to continue the journey. Without a doubt, the best aspect of this part of the tour is traveling over the Hai Van Pass to reach Hue. Traveling across the Hai Van Pass, which is a 13-mile mountain pass, is a truly breathtaking experience. When you do finally arrive at Hue, a guide will accompany you on a cruise along the Perfume River.

Day 8: Hu Chi Minh City

Once you dine in and enjoy a spectacular breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to return to Hu Chi Minh City. After that, the day is completely yours. If you are exhausted (which is highly likely), you can spend the day resting your body. However, feel free to explore more of the magnificence of the city. Remember, it is the largest city in the country.

Day 9: Con Dao Island

After your day of rest, it is time for a new experience. On the ninth day, you will take a flight to the beautiful island of Con Dao; while spending some time at the Dat Doc Beach. This day is all about enjoying the sand in-between your toes and the fresh water.

Day 10-12: Con Dao Island

The rest of your vacation sees you remain on Con Dao Island. However, on the tenth day, you will get to visit the city’s national park and museum (which was a famous prison camp). From there, the rest of the vacation is yours and you can spend it however you wish.
